Progress Update #2

Here are the finished panels from Week 3 and Week 4.

Psalm 103:7-12

Psalm 103:7-12

7   "He made known his ways to Moses,
     his deeds to the people of Isreal:
8   The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
     slow to anger, abounding in love.
9   He will not always accuse,
     nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
     or repay us according to our iniquities.
11  For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
     so great is his love for those who fear him;
12  as far as the east is from the west,
     so far has he removed our transgressions from us."

And here are all of the finished panels from Week 1 through Week 4.

Week 4

On Day 1 we had a great turnout of students that wanted to participate in the mural project. They all had creative and innovative ideas for the verses they were assigned to depict.

On Day 2 the student artists worked hard all afternoon and made excellent progress. The group that worked on Panel A depicted Psalm 103:10 which states,
"he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities."

The group that worked on Panel B depicted Psalm 103:11-12 which states,
"For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us."

On Day 3 we all were blessed to witness God's continuous love and provision. For all of Day 2 and the majority of Day 3, there was only one student who faithfully came to paint Panel A. We knew that God had a plan and that He always provides for us because Jeremiah 29:11 states,

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God is awesome and He provided! Toward the end of Day 3, several artistically inclined students came to the mural and wanted to help.

This is our little bird friend Albert. He hung out with us all afternoon
on Day 3 just hopping around and checking things out.

On Day 4, the students put the finishing touches on Panel B and completed Panel A. The panels are astonishing!

This week was an excellent reminder that even when circumstances are not going according to our plans, God's plan is supreme and perfect.
