Progress Update #5

The finished Falls Creek Mural Project 2011.

Front--Psalm 103:1-12

Back--Psalm 103:13-22

This entire summer at Falls Creek has been extraordinary. However, during all 8 weeks of the summer my favorite moments have been the wrap-up times at the mural project.

Each week after the students had finished painting their panels, we took a few moments to debrief and talk about what Psalm 103 meant to them, what they had learned during the week through their quiet times, devotionals, tabernacle services, what God has been showing them, etc.

It has been incredible and humbling to see how much God has shown himself to these students and how willing they are to learn and use their gifts and talents for their Creator.

Progress Update #4

Here are the completed panels from Week 7 and Week 8.

Psalm 103:18-22

Psalm 103:18-22

18   "with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19   The LORD has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20   Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
       who obey his word.
21   Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22   Praise the LORD, all his works
       everywhere in his dominion.
       Praise the LORD my soul."

And here are all of the finished panels from Week 5 through Week 8.

Week 8

This week we had a delightful group of students who were extremely diligent. On Day 1 the students conceived some intriguing designs for their panels.

On Day 2 the group that worked on Panel A depicted Psalm 103:20-21 which states,
"Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will."
