Progress Update #3

Here are the completed panels from Week 5 and Week 6.

Psalm 103:13-17

Psalm 103:13-17

13   "As a father has compassion on his children,
       so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
14   for he knows how we are formed,
       he remembers that we are dust.
15   The life of mortals is like grass,
       they flourish like a flower of the field;
16   the wind blows over it and it is gone,
       and its place remembers it no more.
17   But from everlasting to everlasting
       the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
       and his righteousness with their children's children--"

Week 6

Day 1 we had a large group of students who wanted to help with the mural project. The students who worked on Panel A came up with a more conceptual depiction of their verses while the group's design for Panel B is more stylistic.

Day 2 students began painting their panels. The group that worked on Panel A depicted Psalm 103:15-16 which states,
"The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and itis gone,
and its place remembers it no more."

The group that worked on Panel B depicted Psalm 103:17 which states,
"But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children--"

Throughout the entire week the students were such good troopers! They endured triple digit heat, high humidity, and smoky air (due to wildfires a few miles from camp). Despite these challenging conditions, the students demonstrated their diligence and commitment to finish painting their panels.
