The beginning of Day 1 consisted of explaining the mural's concept, brainstorming, and sketching in the office. The students were divided into two groups and each group chose a verse to depict. After each group finalized their design, they transferred their sketch to their panels.
The group that worked on Panel A depicted Psalm 103:1 which states,
"Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name."
The group that worked on Panel B depicted Pslam 103:2-3 which states,
"Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits--
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,"

Day 3 saw the student's interpretation of the verses really begin to come to life. Also, I was privilaged to witness an incredibe Jesus moment that day...
I was sitting with another staffer overseeing the project that afternoon when I heard the students begin to sing a worship song that the Matt Roberson Band had been singing in the tabernacle throughout the week while they were painting:
"You are holy great and mighty
the moon and the stars declare who you are
I'm so unworthy, but still you love me
Forever my heart will sing of how great you are."
Phil Wickham "Cannons"
Now I am not a crier at all, but I began to tear up. It was beautiful and encouraging to see these creative and artistically gifted students worshipping Christ through the talents he has blessed them with.

On Day 4 the students completed their paintings. They did an amazing job and I could not be more proud!
